FREEDOM
Freedom is defined as the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. To protect our freedom “We the People” must strive to limit our government and its power to diminish that freedom. The Declaration of Independence was clear when stating “That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”, we the people.
HONOR OUR TROOPS AND PUBLIC SERVANTS
There is no limit to the support and gratitude we should show for our troops and public servants that allow for the freedoms and safety of our society. It is imperative that we respect, support, and honor the works and recognize the sacrifices that have been made for our country. Too often the fallen are forgotten and their works are taken for granted. Our fallen servants and their families remain in our prayers.
US CONSTITUTION IS THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE OF OUR COUNTRY
Our founding fathers made a collective effort to create a living document that was intended to lead our country to promote freedom and individual liberty. It is evident that this document was created in a way that promoted mutual consideration and prevented one individual or one party to control the destiny of our country. Many aspects were considered such as potential failures, differentiating opinions of our citizens and the understanding that the efforts and hard work of an individual should be rewarded. The collections of these efforts have created a foundation that has proven to lead our country, the United States of America, to be a leader in the global community. Southern Conservative reveres this document to be the frame work in which the United States should govern to ensure the rights of all citizens.
CHARITY IS AN ACT OF KINDNESS
We believe that charity is a personal decision and an act of kindness that an individual feels compelled to do knowing ones circumstance or understanding the intent of the group or organization in which he gives to. We do not believe that it is the responsibility of the government to take one’s wealth and distribute it to another for the sake of political gain or acting in way to target one demographic to create the feeling of reliance. It is evident that our current disbursement of American tax dollars has been abused in a way that diminishes individual responsibility due to the ease in which one can take advantage of various forms of public aid.
FAMILY VALUES SHOULD BE HELD IN HIGH REGARD
The family structure is the initial foundation of one’s life that allows for the value of togetherness, teamwork, love and respect. It is a collection of a family’s heritage and traditions that are a major influence on the framework in which we begin to construct our lives.
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD
A man that doesn’t just have a job but works hard earns the right to enjoy the fruits of his labor. An honest day’s work deserves an honest day’s pay.
